What is the Scrip Program?? Will it cost me anything??
The scrip program is using gift cards to buy things you are currently spending cash and/or credit cards on. When you buy a $100 card that has a 4% discount, Home & School pays $96 for that card. The discount is split 50/50 with the family buying the card. $2 goes to the Home & School Association and $2 gets accrued for a tuition credit. It doesn’t cost anything to participate.
Why is the Scrip Program so important??
If the scrip program is successful, it will help to pay for necessary improvements and fun programs for the school and the children.
How does it work??
If you spend $100 at Stop & Shop every week, simply purchase a $100 Stop & Shop card in advance for $100 and go shop as usual. Same for Dunkin Donuts, restaurants, department stores and more. Different cards have different discount rates. It is possible to earn up to 8% back in tuition credit and 8% for Home & School programs to benefit your children.
How do I order my cards??
Three ways to order:
Again, orders will be placed on the next ordering Monday.
How do I pay for my order??
Payment is by cash or check (payable to St. Augustine Home & School Association). Orders placed on-line will not be released for processing until payment has been received. Send checks into the office to the attention of Nancy Reall.
Why can’t I pay with a credit card??
Credit cards cost money to process, usually 3-4% of the sale. That cuts into the profit we earn on the sale of the cards, sometimes actually costing the program money.
How do I get my cards??
Cards may be picked up by an adult on Friday of the order week in the gym lobby from 8:00-8:30am.
Or, Sign off and have cards sent home in the next family envelope.
